AFTER CARE AND ADDITIONAL INFO

  • Keep the wrapping on for at least 5 days

  • Avoid submerging/soaking the wrap in water for the duration of the 5 days and avoid submerging/soaking the tattoo for two weeks after the wrap is removed.

  • During the first week the wrap may collect and trap fluid and your tattoo may look distorted and wacky. This is totally normal.

  • Once the wrap is removed (after 5 days), gently wash away any ink/blood with warm water and antibacterial hand soap (and freshly washed hands) and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

  • Don’t worry if the wrap sticks to the tattoo, this will not harm your tattoo.

  • Once the tattoo is dry, apply a thin layer Aquaphor or Unscented Hand Lotion

  • For the next week, wash/dry and apply your lotion of choice to the tattoo Twice Daily

  • Your tattoo may be itchy and sore over the next week or so. This is totally normal.

  • If the wrap begins to peel or if any fluids leak out from under the wrap before the 5 day mark, take it off and care for your tattoo according to the previous step.

  • Do not rebandage your tattoo.

  • Do not apply petroleum jelly.

  • Do not apply alcohol, peroxide, or betadine.

  • Do not rub, pick, or scratch your tattoo.

  • Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight for two weeks.

  • Once your tattoo is healed (after three weeks), using sun-screen regularly will prevent the fading of your tattoo over time.

  • Signs of possible infection: excessive redness, swelling, severe itching, fever, or pus at the tattoo site. If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
